Help identifying Super H, 300 or 350 Head?

I picked up a Farmall head the other day. I thought it was a M head due to the large carb. I measured the manifold where it bolts to the head and it measured the same as my Farmall H. I slapped on an H head gasket and it fits perfect.

The casting number is 361479-R1. Anyone know what this is supposed to fit? Also can it be put on a regular 1943 farmall H with a head # 8776-DA? Would there be any more HP with it and what might be the basic differences between it and the regular H head?

PS, anyone know the valve part numbers for the 361479-R1 head?

Head you have is a 300 and 350 gas.It will fit and make more power than low compression head you have.Ih # intake 362534 R1, exhaust 362535 R1.

You mention more power than the "low compression head". Any idea how much it ups HP and what might the compression be raised from-to?

Piston type will affect what compression you end up with,but with no other changes you should gain 1 to 1.5 to 1 comp. over what you have.If you ask
on the tractor pulling forum someone there can tell you what to expect or do to make extra power.
