Justin I was quoted $650 for housing and all inside parts. that was parts only no labor. My friend fixed it for me. It only needed a $0.25 woodruff key. I painted the outside of his house furnished the woodruff key and he provided all the labor on the tractor. I am not good at working on any thing with gears in it. After he finished and played around a day on my super A he is now replacing the head gasket on his super H and putting it back to work, He said he had forgot how much fun a tractor is. ugly

justin: Have you had it apart yet? The reason I ask is those parts are very expensive. Which type of shaft is in that steering box? Older ones had a square tapered shaft and later ones have round tapered shaft with woodruff keys. Usually these can be repaired as very rarely are the worm or teeth of gear worn. The free travel is in the tapered shaft. On the type with the woodruff key I have seen free travel as much as full turn of steering wheel and it was all in keys and keyways.

Justin: The industrial axle will not change the steering box. The only differences are the square or round shaft, and until that difference is known, kind of hard to tell you how to rebuild.
