Got head off my frozen 52 H. Soaked with WD 40 for a month. Took my best shot with a 3 pound mall and oak 2X4. Won't move. What about PB Blaster or Coke? Maybe 5 pound post mall. Looks like tractor sat and water went down exhaust sat in #3 cylinder and some in #2. #2 & 3 are part way down. Tried jack on crank pushing up on #4 and pounded down on #3. Any help appreciated. Thank you. Jim

I have used the hydraulic method a few times, One time the pressure poped the flange off the sleeve and pushed piston and sleeve tight against the crank. try recovering from this mess

Here is a method I have only read about but I am going to try it on the next "tightie" I tackle.
Drill out the centers on two spark plugs and weld them to pipe fitting so you can attach hydralic quick-couplers to them. Loosen the rocker shaft so all of the valves are closed. Connect one of your other tractors hoses to her and rock 'em back and forth. Determine piston location first, part way up the bore is good. The least it can do is push hy-tran fluid past the rings. Sound s like a great way. Good luck

I use w40 for everything cuz it SMELLS NICE. But for stuck pistons i use my "magic wand" a piece of 7/8 hex shaft and a 4 pound hammer. for realy tough ones I have used a piece of heavy wall pipe. I gave up the wood block trick 40 years ago. If you can knock em out with wood, They ain't STUCK!

I just came in from using a 13 pound post mall on an oak 2X4. Still stuck. Hummmm pipe. That sounds interesting. Hmmmm fire with diesel fuel. I guess I better remove the gas tank. Thanks. Jim

ya, I built a fire in one on an F30. Saved the piston and sleeve too.

Jim-Had a very stubborn piston in our 15-30. Tried all the "usual cures", and nothing worked. Used an air chisel, with a blunt end, and heat from a torch. The vibration did the trick. Had to use the same method to get the sleeve out.

Jim, Fill the cylinder with Diesel set it on fire. Let it burn it'self out then pound with a hammer and oak block. The heat of the will expand the cylinder enough so the piston can be broken free.
Be sure to be in an open area and all other fuels, cleaners are away from the tractor.
This will work 95% of the time.
Hope this helps!
John A.

I am having the same problem with a 46 H. I have tried the P.B. Blaster stuff, it DOES NOT work, don't waste your money on it.

We have a stuck Super 6 havnt done a thing with it yet. I have heard great things about p b, Ive also have heard that pepsi works to. A guy came over the other day and needed wd-40 for something, I was trying to figure out why he needed it, I couldnt find any so he told me, Always keep a can around for cleaning stuff cause thats all its good at, I think it works good on bike chains, Dad shines up the big houle manure tank for farmshows with it. works great! Wouldnt recommend shining up old tractors though!
