Saw this "rare drawbar pin" in the photo ad's. I don't recall ever seeing one of these in use.
Can anybody tell me what it was used for?

Not all that rare. I think I've got two of them someplace.

I remember them as an aftermarket item at our farmall dealer. They were used to hold rolling drawbar in the center.

You can buy this from O.E.M. for $29.00. The O.E.M. part number is H450CDB. It is designed to go over the roller on a swinging drawbar on a H or an M. It looks exactly like the one in the 2004 O.E.M. catolog, but I see the seller states that it is not a reproduction.

It's rare because he has one and you don't!!
I would hazzard a guess that some company made a few (nice idea) and quit later on.
It saves looking for the right size bolt to shove in the drawbar support and would help keep things from moving around too much.
The $90 is a bit too rare for my taste.

It looks like it would be dropped on either side of the swinging drawbar, but it would be highly unlikely to get $90 from me.

Don't think those are all that rare in our part of the world, I think Dakota Iron out of SF,SD sold them, as an aftermarket supplier. They were for the roller style draw bars, they used springs (looked like valve springs, as I remember them) on the bottom w/cotter keys to keep them in place, as I remember them. They were a PIA to get in place, but worked good after you got them on. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
