How do you guys get your spark plugs out to inspect/clean them? We can't get our socket wrench to even slide down around the spark plug because there is not enough space around the walls of the spark plug to fit the socket on it. Thanks in advance.

You are aware it is probably a 7/8" spark plug? First time I tried a 13/16" and couldn't figure it out...
Bought a 7/8" deep socket at Lowes, not thin-wall, and it works fine on my A and SC.

you need a Craftsman socket. They are thinner than most.

Bob is right...i've purchased tractors before with wide base spark plugs and a thin wall socket is the best way to go --Jeff

You may have some off brand plugs with larger bases in your A. You might try a "Thin-Wall" socket to remove the plugs available at most parts stores or tool retailers. Good luck.
