Here's the front end Bud has been talking about.

It looks like a reversed IH tube to me. Ever see this done?

I don't know beans about the linkage and the tractor either, but ain't there a part or two missing, like maybe a radiator and a few other parts? now i'm only on my first tractor, but it does look a little strange to me.

Never seen one like that before, but I think you have a case of he said this,he said that..... ..Chances are that this was a conversion of some sort that some off the wall company,or some smart ole farmer came up with it,and he simply didnt remember what all he had done or worded things differently than someone else may have...only advantage I see here is maybe a little sharper turning.

Based on the overwhelming response I would say we have stumped the experts up to this point.

You know,

This really isn't a bad idea. I think that they were trying to make the thing turn the same amount in both directions which the originals wouldn't.

If they would have just extended that steering arm out a bit to make the gemotery correct, it probably would work great. Looks like it is a short turner to me.
