Could somebody please explain the function of the leveling lock arm? I don't have the appropriate manuals yet and have never seen one work.
Also, my hitch goes up quickly, but down very, very slow. Is that the way it is supposed to be?
Thanks,
Bill

Yes, fast up & slow down because of the check valve in line to help resist dropping a load.
I need to find my manual to answer the other question.

Before you hook-up to any implement get your hands on a operator’s Manual for the type of implement you intend to use. I had to learn the hard way. I broke my hitch two times just plowing snow. Then I got a manual and found I had three hitch pins in the wrong holes. I also got a manual for my disk plow (c-200), good thing too, plowing soil is a lot harder on a hitch than snow. With the pins in the right holes it plows like a champ. Good luck

Good idea. I can see that the fast hitch on my tractor has lead a rough life...it has a 3 point hitch conversion, and I've used it some already, but the leveling link was hooked up wrong, and one of the pivots for the draft adjusting bail is broken off, replaced with a bolt. Also the draft adjusting rod (or the big piece of pipe on the right hand side, whatever it is called) is bent like a banana. ) Need to fix that.
Thanks,
Bill

Hi, Bill I forgot to add information about the speed of your hitch going down. My hitch goes up and down at the same speed. Sort of fast. And it has lots of power. I can block up the hitch and it will lift both wheels off the ground (liquid filled) and leave it up all night and the wheels are still off the ground in the morning. The two-point hitch is the best hitch ever designed. You can make adjustments right while your plowing. But it is complex. You will learn more about it every time you use it. Just my 2-cents Good Luck!

I'm guessing that mine is a little off. It will pick up one back wheel, but not both at the same time. And it lowers awfully slow; the engine really labors as if it were under a heavy load when lowering the hitch. But it raises fast and seems to have plenty of power going up. The draft and leveling work fine. Time to learn about hydraulics, I suppose.
Thanks,
Bill

well my book says leveling link, and it looks like it helps to suppor the hitch sockets by holding all the other brackets on to the bolt holes where the alternative drawbar would bolt, as for the second part my super C doesnt run so i dont know
