Two different tie rod end styles were used on the Super A. The automotive style are just that. They look like the end on a car or truck. These have a castle nut on the top to hold them tothe steering arms. The older style look like the ones on a cub, see picture. Be aware that there are two sizes on the automotive style, the diameter of the adjusting tube is a little larger on the later ones. Case/IH has these but the long notched ones are expensive ($104.00 each back in 2000). I have since seen some aftermarket ones, probably any TISCO dealer can get them for about half the IH price.

Daniel: The tyrods you show in the photo are Farmall A and Super A pre 1951. The change over to the automotive type occured somewhere around serial number 310,000. The two automotive types you speak of are late Super a for the small tube and the large tube tyrods were used only on the 100, 130 and 140. Any variations from that and someone has changed them.

I'm not sure that anyone understood you the first time either. The most obvious difference is that the agricultural tie rod ends are much heavier. If it is an IH front end, why not try a dealer or an aftermarket supplier ?
