After you read all the info at the link John gave you, think about the value this way: 1. The tractor is worth whatever it is that you are willing to pay, within reason. 2. Cub values vary from location to location. In an area where they are numerous, then the value would probably be worth less than in an area where they are rare. 3. Values are determined by what the average price in that area is, which is determined by a number of factors: a. condition - does it run, how well b. implements - what comes with it c. what does the owner want and is it reasonable. same applies for implements. I will use Ellie-mae my 48 for comparison. I paid $1,000.00Cdn for a very well running Cub with a 193 moldboard plow and a spring harrow. She came with a new throw out bearing, and pressure plate. I also knew the history as the tractor came from a member of the family. I also ended up with the Cub-22 Mower last summer that originally came with her. Jethro my 51 Cub, is a different story. I paid $100.00 Cdn for him. He was not running, did not have front rims and tires, floor pan gone, engine stuck, tin in pretty bad shape, but he came with rear wheel weights and 2 Brand New 9.25x24 in tires - never been mounted. I got a steal. I got a good deal on both and am not sorry. I have seen Cubs go for more and for less in my area. Oh, Cub-22 sickle mower about $75 - $175.00 depending on condition Cub-193 moldboard about $75.00 - $150.00 depending on condition Cub-144 Cultivator - $250 - $500.00 depending on condition, what comes with it such as spring teeth, disks, moldboard and plant shields. If you got all that $500.00 would be fair, if just the cultivator with the spring teeth $250.00 would be fair. I also would not worry about the currency exchange. A buck is a buck! Best advice would be to seek out other Cub owners in your area and ask them their opinion if possible.
