Cub 154 Oil Pan

I have an oil leak that appears on the top rear of my Cub 154 oil pan. I am hoping it is a oil pan gasket problem and not a rear main oil seal. When I went to take off the oil pan, there are two bolts in front that are hard to get to because of what is a steering mechanism brace and maybe an engine brace. What is the procedure for taking the oil pan off a Cub 154? Can I (and do I have to) take that brace off? Thanks in advance.

I haven't done that job in a while but I believe you take off the bolts that hold the bracket on and just swing it enough out of the way,

John, Thanks, There has to be an easier way than lifting the engine up. However, I have both the IT service manual and the IH Blue Book for the Cub 154 and neither discuss how to take the oil pan off. For most tractors is it apparent and easy, but when I ran into the two bolts I could not get to without taking that brace off, I thought I better be asking more experienced folks before I had engine come down on me or something. Thanks
Larry
