16 front rims for 130, 230 etc.

Getting back to wheels, I just trying to decide if I can fabricate dogs that will look right. I placed the Chevy rim over the cast center of 130 front wheel and to center the wheel it takes exactly 7/8" spacer at each of the three mounting points. I'm thinking about rolling 3/4 x 1-1/2 flat bar into curve of rim, cutting it into 4" pieces, weld them to the rim, then weld 1/2 x 1-1/2 flat bar in for lugs to bolt on with. I can then build up the inside of the curved 3/4 x 1-1/2 with bead welding and grind to a taper so it works like the original for tightening.

Then it would probably be a whole lot less expensive if someone happend to sell what I need.
