Hello, I was wondering if anyone knew how much fluid a 20.8x 38 tire will hold. Also wondering what portion of calcium to use. I hate to use calcium. Anyone know anything about that rim guard. They haven't ansered any calls. Thanks YC

I use Rim Guard and it works very well. Almost as heavy as CaCl2, but non corrosive and inert. We spilled some on grass and couldn't see any effect.
Try looking up Rim Guard on the web.

Try this site which says your tires should hold 140 gallons and be about 1168 lbs. per tire.

Calcium is no problem as long as it is away from air-like in an intertube. About every 10 years watch that the valves don't start to leak-if so ,put new valve stems in them.

Wolfy: I agree no problem with calcium chloride as long as you change those stems every 8 to 10 years. Never much of a problem when using these tractors for commercial farming, as the tires were done in that time anyhow.

YC,

My 18.4X38s took 140 gallon apiece. I think they told me that was filled to 94% and equaled 1113lbs per tire.

So, yours should take about the same or just a touch more, I would think.

Allan
