Finally got it! I knew there had to be a good use for these things!

Or, maybe a boat anchor?

How about linked by 15' length of chain and tied to the nose-ring of a rank Holstein bull?

Hmmm,

Allan

I'm going to put the narrow front back on my C. The wide front is pretty useless for most cultivating. Once things slow down a little, I'll try making a new steering arm for the wide front.

Have spent thousands of hours on both wide fronts and tricycles and can see advantages to both. When it comes to turning around on ends when planting and cultivating wide front can not compete. Will agree that overall wide front is best. In my younger days we usually cultivated in 4th. gear full throttle and if you had to slow down to turn around you were not cool (live and learn).NDS.

Hi NDS,

Yes, I know it is a "personal preference" thing and I sure am not trying to irritate you trike guys.

Have you ever operated a single front end mounted with a tri-rib?

Before we put in the pivot, our farm was flood irrigated.

Those old Farmalls with the single front ends would follow the plater marker, cultivator duckfoot or ditcher, and would cut beans pick corn or about any other job without you even having to touch that steering wheel. Cuttin' hay: talk about your square corners!

Spin the wheel and hit the brake and they would almost tie themselves in a knot trying to get spun around fast enough. If I could find a single front end for my old H, I'd be one happy camper.

It is neat the way we all like what we are used to & what we used to use. Makes the world spin.

Have a good one,

Allan

I have one turned up-side-down in the barn. It makes a good anvil for beating things on.

Allan:

**LOL** I love it!! I guess you could always use it as a spare table leg, but a door stop or boat / bull anchor works too.

I see those on e-bay every so often, never really paid attention as to whether or not they sold, or for how much.
