Brake problems-the inner brake pedal will pump up,
outside pedal won't but when you depress clutch you loose what little pedal you have, I have bleed system but I don't understand system-has an
equalizer valve in between cylinders-it leaks but the other cylinders don't. Can I bypass the equalizer valve? Parts are very expensive and I don't to replace any I don't have too. Any help will be appreciated thank you.

Hi Jack, you can repair the equalizer valve, if the spool is not loose in the body, however it may leak in few time. You can put 2 elbows, instead the 2 T but let the valve in place. The valve is a stop for the brake pedal. Place 2 small hoses on the open bleeders, run the hoses in the hole where you add oil in the transmission. On the transmission, front, cover, it have a 3/8 rubber hose, it's the brake circuit return, pinch the hose with Vise-Grip, run the engine at 1500 RPM. Check if the oil flow from bleeders. Run for 10 minutes or more if it have bubble in oil, tight the 2 bleeders, remove the Vise-Grip, then stop the engine. Check the brake pedal and clutch pedal shaft bushing, for wear. Not for nothin' but brakes are the absolute LAST place I would consider skimping on parts. If the brakes don't work, fix them right.

Jack,

It sounds like your problem is in the equalizer valve. I just repaired mine on my 684, which has the same system. There is no way to bypass the equalizer valve that I know of. It is kind of a pain to get at easily. I took my battery out and also removed the battery tray to give more space to work.
The repair kit consists of a small seal and some steel balls and tiny springs. These appear to be worth about a dollar or two, however you can buy them from your Case-IH dealer for the tidy sum of about $38. I don't know of any aftermarket source. Be very careful when removing the old seal as the equalizer valve body breaks real easy (found out the hard way).

I believe there was a repair kit available from CIH for equalizer that consisted of 'O' rings and seals.
