Hi, I took the advice of several people on my miniature farmall, and...

I'm just going to try to find a Farmall Cub or an A.

Does anyone know where I can get one of these tractors (that runs well) for under $1,000, in Pennsylvania?

Thank you!

I doubt if you can get either a decent cub or an A for $1000. They both cost about the same and the A is a much better tractor than the cub is. It will do over half again as much work and is also much easier to maintain. I have a cub and 2 B's The B is a much underrated tractor and can oftentimes be bought cheap. Same engine and transmission as the A.

I just bought a Farmall A. I think it is a 1940. I paid 1000 for it. Only bad thing about it is the guy that owned it before the one I am buying it from had sandblasted it down and never got it painted for what ever reason. The guy I bought it from painted it with a oil base barn paint. So I will have to sandblast it again when I am ready to repaint it. Runs good though. Just gotta figure out how it was originally with shutting it off. Now I have to get off the tractor and on the right side short out the magneto. I wonder if there was a cable going to the area of the steering before or not.

Good Luck on your search
