Jon: Sorry didn't answer last night, but hey, we had to vote in a new government and I was working the polls all day! And, we did answer the question. The Zenith is the correct replacement Carb for the Cub. The fuel line fitting may or may not be correct, as those usually have been modified/changed/field engineered by previous owners over the years. Without seeing a pic of the carb setup, it is awful difficult to get a really comprehensive answer as well. If you can email me a pic, I will post it for you and that should help with that problem. Also, if you cut and paste this url into your browser it will bring up the Zenith parts pages on the server : Link Link Why in the world btw, would you have to pull the main jet to check the oil? If you need to remove the fuel line to access the cap????, would suggest you turn the fuel flow off at the bowl under the tank, then disconnect the fuel line. Also, the fuel line originally was steel (can be replaced with steel brake line) and was routed so that it was not in the way, yet did not have too many bends and curves that might affect gravity feed flow. Also, if I remember correctly, I gave you the info that you would need by providing the links to the service, parts and owners manuals. This should help as well. As for the rad cap - well hey, the part number was quoted, but 90 percent chance the dealer will not have it as it is no longer available. Use a less than 4lb pressure cap. This would be sufficient. Do not use a pressurized cap about 4lbs and the Cub uses a thermosyphon system. Now,if you have fuel, spark and air the Cub should run. But the spark must be correct so check the gapping on the points and the plugs - ensure they are as per the service manual. Make sure that all your contacts are clean, check for shorts etc., and that your grounds are good. Hope this helps
