Super M hydraulic fluid question

I have a '52 Super M that someone put an aftermarket 3 point hitch system on. Two hydraulic hoses come out from underneath of the oil filler cup that feeds the engine. Question is, am I to assume because the two "seem" married up that I would use the same grade motor oil (SAE 30) to run the hydraulics?

No. Follow the hoses back. That's where you'll find the hydraulic reservoir. It'll either be a tank underneath the gas tank, or it'll be plumbed into the belly pump.

Your Super M has the optional "live" hydraulic system that drives off the timing gear. If oil is flowing between the pump and the crankcase, you have one serious problem.
