Well,as some of you may recall,I bought a 44 H to repalce the M my father and I rebuilt about 8 years ago.The H is a good tractor, dont get me wrong, but it aint my M. I just recently sold the ole H and the 200 I bought as well.I am going to continue to use the ole M through this year, but after New Years I will be replacing it with "something".I mainly use the M now for bushhogging with a 6 ft bushhog, pulling a 9 shank scarifier,a box blade, and a small smoothing harrow, all three point hitch equipmnet. My question is what would you guys recommend that I repalce the M with.Im looking for something in the same HP range that will do the same work my M will do and then some, maybe upwards of 50 HP,but compact enough to load on my trailer without haveing to "turn the wheels around",my trailer is only 86" wide,I think. Also maybe deisel, but gas would be ok,not nessecarily IH,any brand and any year.No wars please just want opinions.

a DIESEL 656 or 666 is a good tractor. It is a little bigger than the M, but a little extra power is never a bad thing. They have a gas 666 at work and I will never own a gas tractor that big. Use too much fuel.

Ford 5000, Massey Ferguson 65 -165 etc. Not half built but they have a nice intregal 3 pt and drive nice. power steering, easy to shift, easy to get on and off. and reasonable to buy.

A nice SM in red, the 620-630 in green are at 50 HP gas. 720-730 at 60 HP in diesel. They have live PTO and PS. I also like the Fords and Kubotas.

Cubber,

Used, B414, if you want to stay red, any number of 3000 or 4000 Fords if you don't care. A MF in that horsepower range is about the same price, depending on condition.

I use my B414 as you discribe, it is a diesel and is simple to work on and economical to operate.

New, Kubota or Mahindra, Mahindra being the less expensive to buy and maintain depending on frequency of repair.

Just my opinion, y'all feel free to disagree and cast dispersions.
