i have an 62 farmall 140 that i'm trying to restore and i've taken care of the no crank situation and low and behold when i finally got all excited and poured in some gas to see if it would start, at first the gas was pouring out of the coke can and duct tape that was between the carb and the air cleaner. i replaced that w/ some insulated fuel line and turned the fuel back on at the bowl, it didn't leak for a while, then gas started to drip out of where the choke attaches to the carb, then it started pouring out of the bottom of the air cleaner. any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
chris

Try tapping on the side of the carb float bowl.
It may allow the float to unstick itself & do the job it is supposed to.

Your carb needs a new needle and seat. Also, the float could be hung up in the bowl.

Yes you can get the needle and float separate, but before you do that, take off the bowl and make sure you don't have some dirt in there, and make sure that journal pin holding the float in hasn't slipped out to one side, I have seen that happen on two different occasions on two different tractors... That'll make the gas run thru in a hurry.

That is needle and seat for the float.
