There is a very cheap irrigation pump on ebay, item # 3828920086, and no it's not mine, but I know what I paid for mine.

Flatlander,

What do you think about that GPM rating? Seems a little high to me at 1500.

I would think more like 1200 GPM max, out of a 6" pump, with that old gal wound clear up would be more in the ball park.

Which, would translate into something like $100-$150 per day in diesel fuel costs.

So, I wonder how really cheap it is going to be.?

Just thinking out loud,

Allan

You could be right, but when we get to looding rice fields, we want all the water we can get in a hurry, and this looks like it could do it. Harley

Aw Ha!,

So you don't run 'em 24/7 for two solid months, then....I see where you are coming from now.

Thanks,

Allan

Yeh Allan, but about 99.87% of the world has gotten more rain than you boys out there in Nebraska have gotten this year. I have watched the posts from you and Nebraska Cowman talking about the weather, and I really feel for you. One of the main things in life that we can't do much about and it reachs out and bites a farmer right in the arse.
