on the right side right in front of where your foot sets should be a football shaped cover with 6 or so bolts, the screen is behind it.

well the power steering isn"t the greatest on the planet otherwise i really like mine.sets low enough it fits in my garage, have a westendorf loader that comes off and on in 5 minutes or less, and have an ih 200 2pt rear blade, which is the ultimate,as you have downpressure with the 2pt you can really do some grading.they are harder to find then your basic 460"s and if it"s diesl even more rare.i"d like to restore mine but then i probably wouldn"t want to get it dirty and i"d just have to buy another tractor,i could get ya some pics of mine if you"d like.

Interesting, I have a 460 utility diesel and hadn't really thought about it being rare. Now that I think about it I've never seen another one. It has a shuttle shift but no TA. I adapted a IH 2000 loader to fit it and use it for odds and ends around the farm.
I do know that my Farmall 460 diesel is a odd bird. It has a first year production serial number and when I had the engine rebuilt I learned it was one of the very early ones taking different (and more expensive) parts.

The 460 belongs to a friend, we are working at getting it reliably operational. Not actually going for a restoration. It had been sitting for several years and one piston was siezed and a couple valves also, he got everything freed up and running. Needs a couple hydraulic hoses still. Thanks for the info, he is starting to go through the hydraulics and do some preventive maintenance.
