Okay,

I've worked myself right out of a job.

IH sent the wrong light; sent one for a cab model, but we used some old fashioned Nebraskan engineering and got 'er done. All 7 lights work when and how they are supposed to.

This was the absolute last thing I had to repair on this old tractor. Next..... .. :>)

Here's what the old sow looked like just after we unloaded it & after we threw the new tires on.

Then immediately following, I found both clutches were bad, bad rear end bearings and PTO bearings, axle seals shot, bad T/A, slave hydraulic pump shot, seat joists & seat gone, frozen drawbar, missing center link and retainer, & both lift arms were frozen solid with Iowa rust.

And many more items too numerous to mention.

I'm ashamed to tell you what I have in this old thing; but I kinda like it now.

Thanks

A fine looking result. I like the looks of this model tractor anyway. Whatever you have got in it, consider it worth it.

Hi John,

Yeah, the hurt is over now, but my wallet is dog-eared from pulling it out of my pocket all the time and my elbow has a permanent 90 degree kink.

I'm really ashamed of myself for spending so much on it, but I love these old red things and I'm happy now.

I had the darndest time with the old thing a smokin' blue when it was cold. After I worked the snot out of it for a few days, it cleared right up....it must have been setting for a long time or somptin'.

Trouble is, now it seems like I'm always washing it; whats' up with that deal, anyway?

Two of my granddaughters work at a golf course and it is scary what some people pay to play. And that night, they don't have a tractor!

Allan, Darn, that is one sharp tractor!!! I dont blame you for not takin the plastic off the seat!
I see you finally got those tires set out farther. Were the tires loaded? Real nice job, just wants to make you hop on and do some mowing!

Hi Scotty,

That platic thing is just an old habit from the hands of an old man. That seat will last a year longer over it's lifetime if you leave the plastic on to begin with.

Yes, the tires are loaded; 1013 lbs each side. When I get her down in the flat country, they will probably have to be emptied, but up here in the hills I don't wanna have her laying over on her side. :>)
