I can't imagine ANY soil conditions where a SMTA could pull 5-16's properly. Lots of M's around here. Glenn

You might want to check if the line from the upper rear of the head to the air cleaner inlet tube is clogged. If it's clogged, the blowby fumes won't be drawn into the intake and be forced out the breather tube.

If you mean the breather tube on right side of engine that exits between frame rail and oil pan,
it will do that on a lot of these old tractors.
5/16 plow is to mutch for a SMTA in my area.

It is a sign of blowby, not necessarily serious until it gets worse.

Are you talking about the tube that hooks to the carb Or the one that goes in the back of the head ? I have had Hs and Ms and now a SM all my life and never got oil in the tube that goes to the carb from the breather. And let me tell you I have worked the daylights out of them. The breather tube that goes to the head now that could be normal if you worked her alot and It sounds like you did If its has a leak in it . If you have to much oil going through that tube to the breather maybe that could give you extra oil in the tube that goes to the carb. But if Thats the case I would think you have a motor that has a lot of sludge or something causing alot of blow back. JON
