Hello, My father and I just purchased our first Farmall, a '50 M. I don't have much of a tractor background, but according to dad this tractor was a good deal. It has the "tricycle" configuration with 2 tires up front, electric start, electric headlights, 3 gauges (i forget which ones), soft seat with a shock absorber and a large conical spring, rear PTO with the metal flap, sliding drawbar hitch(?), fenders, wheel weights, side PTO with a pulley, and hydraulic pump. It is a semi-basket case (gas tank leak, p/o removed tank, refurbished it, and then died...tractor has set for 7 years). Right now, the generator, side PTO pulley, gas tank, hood, exhaust, and hand crank are off the tractor but are there and came with it. Engine turns over, there was a rag shoved in the exh manifold. Tires are old but no cracks, slightly worn, hold air fine. All the sheetmetal is in very nice shape. We looked and can't even find any dings. There are small patches of surface rust and the decals have kinda worn off. The screen behind the grille is perfect. Offhand, how much do you think this tractor is worth? Just hoping we didn't take too much of a beating for it. As an aside, we bought it from the wife of the original owner, who bought it brand new in '50. She also has a '46 H with pretty much the same options as the M, but no hydraulic pump. thanks
