I have discovered a great way to remove the flywheel from my 1939 f-20. First take the big nut and washer off the fly wheel. I invested in a 3 1/2" socket for my 1" drive ratchet. That made that part really easy. Next I cleaned out the threaded 5/8" dia holes. Then I put three threaded rods in them. I also took a plate of 5/16" thick steel and drilled holes in it the same pattern and the holes in the fly wheel. I bolted the plate on the end of the three threaded rods. Then I used a port-a-power and pushed the flywheel off by puting the port-a-power in between the crankshaft and the plate. Keep the port-a-power centered and make sure that the head of the port-a-power is about the same size and the crankshaft. I had my flywheel off in 5 min. with very little effort. I did not even have to remove the round key. It only took me three weeks to figure this out.
