had trouble like this two winters ago, thought governor was iced up after warming that was not the problem - took it apart, can't remember but I think that something was disconnected - beed to know what to take apart and what to look for - please help. This time just before this engine did not want to idle - I had to work the choke back and forth to keep it running(which possibly could have disconnected something?) then shut off engine. Next time started reved to the moon. oh yeah just before idle trouble on an empty gas tank put in 10gal gas - 5 of which may have been in a can that may have contained 15-40 oil before this. any one with any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!

trapper We picked corn with an M and 2M picker for years, In real cold weather it was not uncommon for the govenor shaft to frost up. for me it would'nt open the govenor under a heavy load I finnaly drilled a small hole in top of the tube and put light oil in it. never had the problem again. If your govenor spring is connected and the high idle screw is set it almost has to be a sticking shaft.

If you have not had the Carb off try grabbing the govener control pipe that hooks to the carg and twist it back and forth with your hand it is probly getting dtuck there or where it hooks to the Carb. JON
