I have been looking at the following tractor models:

IH 1066 Hydro
IH Hydro 100
IH Hydro 186

The only problem that I see is the Hydro 100 and 186 have less horespower than the 1066 Hydro. I was wondering if it is possible to put or upgrade (if they have one) to a larger turbro chargers on either a Hydro 100 or 186. Thanks

Hagon. The 1066 hydro had the same engine as the gear drive, where the 100 and 186 was more like the 966 and 986 so the 10 should have had more power. My brother had a 100 that he put a tubro and run 145 Horse put had to be careful how had he worked so it did not get hot.

remember when I was younger and guys buying new 1066 hydros and they were quite a tractor. Then guys were buying the hydro 100's and were terriably dissapointed and one guy put a turbo on a 100 and then it was still not a 1066 hydro. Born turbo tractors are tougher

Thanks for the information. Even though you could get more power out of the Hydro 100 and 186 its the factor of keeping the tractor cool do to the added pressure on the engine which it wasn't built to handle. I believe that I will probably swing toward a 1066 Hydro then.
