Alright... What a mess!! I own a 1962 International 404 tractor with the c135 4 cylinder gas engine. I cant seem to get the thing to run properly. It misses all the time and when you advance the throttle it wants to die so I have to play with the throttle to get it to rev up. No matter what the RPM is it misses and has little power. When I first got it I thought it was minor as the resistor block was corroded very bad and I thought I could simply replace it. Well, I tried that! No luck. I need to try and get this thing fixed and need some assistance. DOes anyone have a wiring diagram for a 404 International that has been converted to 12V? It appears it has a IH (delco remy 1100409) generator that says it is a 12V generator. The tractor also has a voltage regulator, resistor and a 6V coil?? Points and condensor look new and I am begining to believe the reason why I got this thing free was that the previous owner could not get it working. I know that it could be something besides the electrical system but I have to make sure that it is working first and the only way I know to do that is to rewire it and do the electrical system muself again. While I am at it I will switch to electronic ignition. I am really tempted to take some pics and record a sound file of how it is working and post them here. Any thoughts? Can someone send me the wiring diagram for a 12 V conversion that does NOT use the stupid resistor rather an internal resistor in a Delco Remy 10-SI alternator? HELP! Phil
