On the popular TV program "FRIENDS", the refrigerator that was in Chandler and Monica's apartment was IH. My mother and grandmother each had IH Chest Freezers and they both lasted 25 to 30 years. Just my 2 cents.

If ya wait until about an hour before starting work on your tractor, then plug it up and put yopu bee..... ..... ..er,cold drinks in there, they get near perfect cold by the time your done, well maybe before youre done,or maybe before you begin,or maybe while your working,or hell, forget the tractor, just drink the beer!

I checked the vintage photo section by searching "refridgerator" and didn't see any IH refridgerator pictures. How about posting some pictures one day showing what you guys are talking about? Were these freezors and refridgerators electric powered or were they gas/LP powered like you see in some out-of-the-way trading posts?

You've gotten our curiousity with this interesting thread!!

We had one when I was growing up. I think that my dad bought it used in the mid 50"s It was a large Electric chest freezer that just kept on freezing things. I think that we left it in the house when we mover in 1970.

$100 is a fair price, but you could get $500 to the right buyer.

I would not take $1,000 for mine, that I got for free when a church camp threw it away.

Also have an IH refrigerator that came with a building I bought.

KT,

They are not the most efficient things around the corner, but the darned dudes run forever.

My mom has one and it has been running continually since the 50's or thereabouts. (Can't really remember when she got it; it's been a long, long time ago, tho)
