I have a MD 22-36 with engine #128005. Would this make the tractor serial # TG128005? Also, does anyone know what the "9.24.29" tag on the engine means?

Hi Clark,
I also have a 1929 22-36 Mc. D. SN: 110198. I think you will also find dates cast onto the bottom of the engine and trans. These will help assure you thet the engine year matches the rest of the tractor. I've also found casting dates in various other parts. Is yours on steel or rubber?
Quite a piece of hardware, huh?

Thanks for the information. I did find another date stamp on the rear end cover that is only one day different. This tractor is in very good condition, although the engine is stuck, and yes,it is on steel. I could use a gas tank if anyone knows where to get one.

9.24.29 = september 24,1929 and that would be consistant with the engine number.
