Has anyone out there ever had a Farmall A or #130 with a lift type, 3-point brush hog on it? If so, how did it work for you? What do I need to look out for? Any info would be appreciated. My #130 has a 3-point set up and good hydrolics...and I don't want to go with a wheeled pull behind. I'm worried that the PTO shaft might not clear the brush hog lift "A" frame. Please help me out with this...Thanks.

My dad and I made a 3pt for his 140. We pulled a 5' mower with it with out any trouble. We cut pastures and corn stalks with it. It worked for us well.

I use a 5' on a 140 with no problems. The only place anything comes close to touching is the pto shaft gets pretty close to the front edge of the bushhog if you lift it all the way up. Adjust your touch control stops so it will not lift all the way if it gets to close.

One other thing,...I was a little concerned about the drive line angle when I first started using it but it doesn't seem to be a problem. No unusual noises or anything. Just keep it greased and everything should be ok. I also stay in the light stuff, know the limitations of a small tractor and you won't hear any expensive noises from your transmission.
