The message by Kyle KY asking about clearing brush with a Super C made me remember one of the extra heavy duty brush cutting rigs I saw in the late 50's or early 60's. It was a Farmall 400 or 450 set up for reverse operation (rear end reversed). It was equipped with a single front, (now rear), wheel and a protective cage around the operator platform. It had a extra heavy duty beefed up rotary cutter on the front (formerly rear), probably 7 or 8 ft, with a push bar made from a railroad rail to bend over any medium size tree in its path. It was being used to clear power line right of ways in the Mississippi Delta. I don't know if one like this still exists or not, but I doubt it.

I have a front running MTA with fast hitch and model 106 Woods cutter. It will handle 4" trees. I built a frame out of 3x3 square tube that deflects and bends tall brush and trees around the grill. It starts at a point about one foot in front of the grill and sweeps the standing brush/trees past the rear tires.

It is a good thing the tractor has LPTO. The six foot wide cutter needs to pause forward motion when the brush is really thick. Anything over three inches usually comes out as debarked poles separated from their roots.

I have used it around commercial radio tower sites. I have also cleared around 90 acres in front of neglected dikes for the Army Corps of Engineers.
