Hey guys. I am trying to find info on what really seems to be a lesser known picker, the 2M-HD. Does anyone have any info, memories, or stories about this picker? My goal is to somehow decode my "2bbb" serial number, but I want to hear as much about it as I can. Thanks guys. You have been so awesome.

Tim should have add that the 2mh and 2mhd with 706 806 mounts were not all that bad to mount.

I have no doubt about that, Aces, but I need to be crooked and difficult like I have always been. :) I am going to mount it on my Super M, one because that is the tractor I have and two because those are the mounts that come with the picker. :) I won't be doing an awful lot of picking, yet, anyway! It will be more for hobby, fun, and exhibition than anything. I'd love to get an 826 Hydro with a 234 someday as a picking rig, but until I get the time and the money, I'm more than happy with my Super M and my 2M-HD. Thanks for the post.

MN is right on what he said but put a 2MHD on a 706 or an 806 and you have one piching sun of a gun, or a sheller picker.

It was a heavy duty version of the 2M-H picker. It had a 12 roll husking bed instead of the 8 on the 2M-H. Also the side ear elevators were larger and the gear drives were larger too. It was made for heavier corn yeilds mainly irrigated acres. It was also hard on tractors as the extra weight tended to break rear axles. IH didn't make very many of them.

Tim,

And if itis like the 2M-H it was a son-ofa-gun to mount. We had a 2M-H on a super M. Neighbor switched his over to a 560 and that worked real well
