Guys and Gals, I bought a 1945 H last night from a fellow in Hutchinson, MN. It came from an estate sale. I am speechless as to the conditon of the tractor. The gentleman said the tractor came from the estate of an old gentleman. This man really took good care of his equipment. I've seen tractors for sale that were falling apart, rusty, stripped, and all beat up. This tractor was touched by a very caring individual.People, Take care of those tractors. Keep them clean and shedded. Our Children will judge us by how well we cared for our equipment. Even though the old Red tractors are not used as much by the mainstream, I am delighted by the condition of this tractor. I want collector's in the future to buy my equipment when I am dead and gone and feel astonished at the care I gave it. Let's pass this stuff on to a new generation in one piece and complete. Stop parting running tractors for the sake of running tractors and money. Make them all run. We will run out of running tractors at the expense of the ones to replace them. Where will we be then? There are only so many of them. Protect them all. They have a serial number. They are individual machines with life and a number. I want to astonish others the way I was with this tractor. All it needs is a manifold heat shield(got one), battery box, new oil and temp gauges, and unwelded hitch (got 7). It then needs paint. I need information on what I can do with steel wheels. Did the 1945's come with steel wheels? Thanks for reading. Scott
