There may be one or a combination of things contributing to your problems. 1. Investigate the oil level, oil quality and filters for the system first. 2. A 12 GPM pump versus the optional 17 GPM pump will have NO difference in pressure output if they are in good shape. The 17 GPM will simply move more oil than the 12 GPM and cycle the loader faster but will not provide more lifting power than the 12. You need to check the system's pressure capability. 3. If you find that the hydraulic SYSTEM is not producing about 1500 PSI, then it could be a worn pump, a goofy pressure regulating system or both. For instance, if the regulator piston and the ball check that it operates are stuck in the full system unload position, then no system pressure (or only partial pressure and flow) can go to the loader cylinders when called on to do so. Pump condition would have no bearing on system performance if this is the case. Then again, the pump may indeed be worn and bypassing internally. 4. Taking a shot at the problem you describe, I would wager that your pump is worn. Post again if you need more information and help.
