Don't know the volume of Rustys pump but that pump is sized to just run the power steering.Only
reservior was in steering motor.Same steering motor used on 300 to 450 except housing is bigger
and input shaft made for steering wheel.Sometimes behlen pump was mounted piggy back on IH pump.
This puts distributor cap close to oil filter on
M and simular tractors.Have saw several SM and SMTA and owned one like that.Good luck

Aw, I see what you are talking about now... The little guy is sandwiched in between the distributor and the original adaptor. It must drive kinda like the distributor does then, with the single keyway thingy.

Didn't even notice that before.

So, you say some applications piggy-backed 2 pumps off that timing cover drive?

Several MTA i have seen,and one i owned looked to have run for years like that.Do not know how H would hold up.Need verticle dist to have room on H.

That is a completely different pump than the one that I have. I have the one that looks like the ones on the SMTA, Etc.

I"m having dead battery issues with my camera, will try to get you guys some photos tonight. I need to leave for a while, but will try again tonight.

Yep,

That pump is completely different than mine. Maybe one of these other guys can give you an idea of it's output.

Although, from the size of that motor, it just very be that it is indee handling a large volume of oil.

The motor may not be all that big, it is also the reservoir.
