I need alot of help!!!
Where do I put the link for the picture I placed in Parts & Pieces?

Take a look at these gears and let me know what you think about their wear. This is going to be a hobby / parade tractor. It is not going back into service so I think I should be OK to run these gears. What do you think?

My Super H gears are worn about 30%, no noise, no jumping out of gear. Some of yours look to be 50%. But, I would guess that if they are not giving problems now they will last a long time, given your light use. You might feel better about your tractor if you replaced them -- up to you, of course.

The gears are badly worn. While it's not impossible that shifter fork problems caused the em to wear against each other it's almost certain that this is the main arguement for patience. Come to a full stop before shifting into another gear - no grinding.
As to whether they're usable, yes they are. If you're using it in parades or light work (no plowing) they may well last as long as you own the tractor. I have to make myself believe that, the same gears in my H look just like that.

Well I have never driven this tractor and my tractor experience is very limited anyway but I have rebuilt some automotive and heavy truck transmissions so I just wondered what the �Real� tractor jocks had to say. Thanks for the input. Oh... How did you put that picture in there??? I manage the High School web site where I work
so I think I should be able to grasp this but I can�t figure it out here! Any pointers would be
helpful.

After you get the picture up on Parts& Pieces, or where ever, right click on the picture, select "Properties," highlight the url, right click on what"s highlighted, Copy, hten when you post, right click in the Optional Image url box and Paste.

Sorry, I don't have any experience with gear wear but I think this is one of the more useful pictures/questions ever posted. If all the H owners could look at various stages of gear wear they'd know where their transmissions stood after opening them up. Thanks for this contribution.

I think it might be useful if you described what behavior you were experiencing with the gears (if any) before you opened up the transmission.

There certainly are better gears out there you could swap in if you can do the work. Those look pretty well ground down. Does it pop out of gear? Have you ever driven it? I think this one will be your call.
