M Farmall Plugs

i thought about trying a set of those splitfire plugs in an M? anyone got any ideas? Now they have those quadrouple dealsd out.. will it be good or bad?

I don't see that those newer style plugs would hurt anything. Whether they would help is another thing. If they do as advertised (which is a BIG if), you would get more efficient combustion, so more power on less fuel theoretically...but we don't know if it would raise the combustion temps. Are you currently having plug problems..?? Maybe a hotter or colder plug will help.

Some of the new plugs use different metals like copper and platinum. This actually works, but all it does is slow down erosion of the electrode.

hrm...being a newbie you tend to read alot =-) What about ditching the points and going with an electronic ignition in the distributer? Just my 2 quarts of oils worth :P
