Sounds like there's a little confusion here... You are talking about the Transmission Brake, operated by the clutch pedal, that brings the gears to a stop, to allow for easier shifting, right??? Not the Park Lock, operated by the lever above the brake pedals, that locks the tractor in park? To replace the transmission brake, follow the linkage, and you will see that it goes into a cover at the bottom of the speed transmission. There is a drain plug at the bottom of this cover. Drain the oil here, you'll get about 8 gallons from that plug. Now unhook the linkage and remove the cover. The transmission brake will come out with the cover, as it rides on the shaft going through the bottom of the cover. Disassemble by removing the snap ring and pulling the shaft out of the cover. Clean all traces of old brake pad off of the trans brake arm. Get a new pad from Case-IH and follow the directions that come with it, which will involve drilling and tapping a hole in the arm to secure the new pad. Don't forget to replace the o-ring where the shaft goes through the cover. Reassemble, replace the cover gasket, top off the oil, adjust, and you're ready to go. It's really an easy job and will make the tractor 10 times nicer to shift.

Todd you said your trans brake out of adjustment. First thing we need to clear up is just what you are talking about. The 06 tractors have a tranmission brake and a bark. The transmission brake helps stop the transmission from turning so you can shaft the gears and has nothing to do with stopping or barking the tractor. The bark is what you use to bark the tractor so it will not run away when you have to work on equipment or are not useing the tractor.
The transmission brake is in the TA housing and the bark is in the rear end housing on the reverse gear and has a lever between the brake and clutch peddles. So if you are talking about the transmission brake it is operated by the clutch and the linkage is on the right side of the tractor and if it is out of adjustment you can replace it by draining the oil out of the TA housing and remove the large plate under the TA housing. There is an arm on that plate with a pad on it about 1-1/2 in diameter that needs replaced, no split need. If you are talking about the park which is in the rear end. You first need to check the linkage under the operator deck, it could be bent and or worn out. If this is the case replace the adjustable ink and the part at each end that the link goes into, IF THe HOLES the linkage goes into are worn out of round you will just bend the linkage again and be right back where you are now. If the linkage is Ok you can get at the bark paw by taking off the range tranny cover. If you need more info repost.
Hope this is some help.

Be careful how you park that thing with the brake broken - leave it in gear. I rode a 706 down a hill one time when I was about 11 years old and no power brakes because I shut the engine off in neutral. My cousin, who was 25 then, ran after me and was able to get on the tractor and get it stopped before anything tragic happened. He sure saved my butt (and his Dad's tractor) that day.
