IH 460 utility powersteering

My dad recently purchased a 195? IH 460 with powersteering problems. After tearing it down I found that the shaft inside the steering cylinder has broken. IH part #373001r91. However this part is no longer available. Does anyone have or know where I can purchase the parts to get this working? Any help would be appreciated.

There are people on here who can cross reference parts numbers. They have for me in the past. I can't remember their name thou.

That is your best bet, because finding a specific cylinder for the 460U steering might be tough, but if it is the same part as the 706 then your task of finding one is easier.

What I found is that you have to drive to the the tractor used parts yards and ask them if they have a part. If you just call they won't bother looking it, because you'll probably never show up to get your part.

I just bought a oil pan for my 460U gas, it matched the oil pan off a 560 diesel and 706 among others, price from Abilene Tractor Works, $150. Price at local tractor junkyard, $50.

Gotta look around. And might have to buy the whole steering pump.
