Does anyone have any experience with a No. 33 McCormick loader. They where available in the 1950's for the Farmall 300. I was wondering if they where a nice loader for light work (snowplowing etc). I have a Super H that I would like to put it on. There is a Farmall 340 with this loader on it for sale at a dealer in West Michigan. The dealer wants $800 dollars for it. What do you think? I really don't want to put the original (No. 28 I think) loader on it because it is so clumsy. thanks

We have a 33A on a M. It has a 6 foot snow bucket on it. It works great, but it is a trip bucket loader. We change ours to hyd. dump when we put the live pump on, You do need power steering to move snow with it. I like the loader because you can take it off with just 4 pins. We leave the axle brackets on all year. I have my remore valves attached to them.

My dad has had a 33 loader on an H since 1951. They are a pretty nice loader for that era. $800 is way too high for the loader though, should be able to get a pretty nice one for $400 or so. Be careful when pushing snow and the like not to set the front end down real hard and sudden if it has come off the ground at the end of a push, it can and will break the torque tube.

I think you need to keep looking, $800 seems a bit high.

Anybody know where one is at and maybe for sale? Also what other options are there for loaders for H's that would look original. We have a 2001 loader on our Super MTA but that is just too heavy a loader for an "H". thanks for the replies.

The old McCormick #30 or #31 loaders would be original to an H, but will not work with a wide front axle. The plus side is that these old loaders are built like a tank, very tough to tear one up. You should be able to get one for easily under $200. I don't know of one for sale at this time but watch the photo ads and also the classifieds on this site. They do turn up from time to time.

I have a No. 30 loader out in the brush and that is were it will stay. I have not liked that loader since I was a kid growing up on my grandpa's "M". I wanted an authentic IH loader that was built like todays loaders. The No. 33 just caught my eye. Thanks for the help.
