As I was maneuvering my 43H WFE into winter storage, I caught a rut , and pushed the wheels around to the right. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening again. Had to pry the wheels back around with a 2x4.Don't see any major bends or breaks.

My '47 M has a Schwartz wide front that I rebuilt last winter including upper bolster bushing kit, and there are four larger bolts that connect the steering post to the lower bolster. I believe the right front bolt is a tall bolt that moves in an arched slot that acts as a limiter. Most wide fronts have this built in out by the wheels but you should leave the tall limiter bolt in. I suspect someone didn't put that tall bolt back in when the wide front was installed. Any salvage yard should have one. Good luck.

I'm not positive about the original WFE's but the narrow front ends had a special high head bolt that went in the right front hole (As you sit on the tractor) when you bolted the lower bolster onto the upper bolster. This high head kept you from oversteering either direction. It is possible you sheered the raised head off of that bolt.
