I have a pretty cobbled up bucket, and the edge is taking a terrible beating. It has no wear edge bolted to it (no holes for one either).Anyone sell cutting edges for smaller buckets? I figure something 3-4" width would be about right.

If you start hunting for cutting edges from a motor grader, there are curved ones and flat ones. Most around here used the curved ones, but I think the flat ones would be the ticket in a loader bucket. They also come in different thickness and in at least 4 or 8 foot lengths. Unless you are doing a lot of concrete scraping, the thinner ones will last forever and the 8 ft one will really add strength to the bucket.

hi paul, go to a large excavating contractor, and ask for the old cutting edges off a roadgrader, like a cat 120 or 140, they work great, and can be bolted or welded to the bottom of your bucket[ you may need to shorten them to fit], so you will need access to a good cutting torch , [these are serious steel] the ones off a large front end loader may also work but i havent tried them ericlb

Go to your local welding shop, they should have 4 and 6 inch edge that gets welded on. I'd go with the 6 inch it will really stiffen your bucket.
