However,

Has anyone have one of these original IH CAT II center link attaching pins with the welded plate and dowel pin hole? Trying to make a 966 like new again.

Allan,
I will look and see what we have around this weekend. It would be off of an 806or 1206 though. do not know if if will be the same as your 966. No that is not being picky. IH would not have used it if there was not a reason for it.

You're right. I believe the reason is that without the dowel the pin can turn in the bracket instead of in the bushing in the end of the link. That would wallow out the holes in the bracket, more expensive than a new bushing.

Hi JT,

Yepper, he's gotta be right about that. Put a nice big heavy implement on that 3-point and that ol' center link is a workin' pretty hard.

Sure wouldn't take long to wobble out that cast bracket mount.
