implement ideas for a 404

My swather died (good riddance...(green)black hole sucked up lotsa money every haying season! Plus it was almost impossible for me to work on) and I'm looking at putting my 404 in the hayfield as the main attraction (besides pulling the harrow and rake). I understand that there is a mower that attatches in front of the rear tire...that sounds pretty cool and easy on the neck and back!
I'm a rookie mechanic(the less the better) and a woman in a mans world here in WY, and everyone around here has the 'big stuff' and think I am crazy(well,duh!), but I am finding that allot of the old fashioned and simpler ways of doing things really are simpler, easier, less expensive and less agrivating! I have about 300 acres of dryland native grass, grass/alfalfa @ about 1/2 T an acre (yes, you read it right) so, all the hay needs raked whether it was cut and windrowed or just layed down then raked.
I havent had a hay crop for a couple of years...but I want to get a start on looking for and putting together the right tools to get'r done! It could rain this spring!
So, are there any manuals that give the implement # that can be used with my tractor? Or better yet, any recomendations?

Is this what you are looking for? A belly mount mower?

I don't where you are over there in Wyoming, but if you have 300 acres of range hay to put up, sounds to me like you need a summer haying crew.

It's TAMARA (I outgrew Tami a couple of decades ago!) NE corner of WY...shortgrass/gumbo. You guys get all of the snow that falls here and blows there.
That is EXACTLY what I figured it would look like! So, a belly mount mower...cool! Now to find one for sale...
Nah, I dont need a crew, I have three daughters ;D And most of the 'cowboys' around here dont like working for women. Plus it costs money and I have lotsa TIME!
Anyhew...I cut the best and graze the rest when I do cut hay, and it only takes three weeks if the weather holds. Cut, rake, bale...cut, rake, bale...
In fact I'm looking into maybe getting rid of the baler and stacking loose hay with a Beaver slide...hum...Probably when the baler dies its final death...Nice baler, though...NH855. I pull it with my...dare I mention it on the IH board...JD4010. I really like my 404 cuz it starts when I want it to and it keeps on runnin' day in and day out and doesnt go through the fuel like its bigger cousin.

Hmmmm,

Sounds like you already have the Cadallic of balers; can't get much better than that NH. That's a chainer, isn't it?

If you are somewhat close to the line, check with Bill Deboar over in Morrill. He's got acres and acres of used machinery and is not too bad on his prices. He swaps equipment back and forth between Morrill, NE and Delta Colorado.

Gary's Implement in Bridgeport is another. Highern' a cats' back but he has all the used toys, tho.
