Hi i wanted to know if i couyld make a manifold for my 45 H. the top piece has broken off and is pretty rusted into one solid piece of the bottom( I gues this is a kerosene one) I m a good welder with 1/4'' stock plate and pipe. Could one build one, i guess they would be more like headers by Jesse James. Would this also increase your HP or sominthing??

Cut off the top piece (the part that's probably broken), and weld a part of a 2" union to the manifold, then all you need to do is to screw in about 6" of 2" pipe which will just fit into the bottom of the muffler.

Bermuda Ken has the manifold, exhaust pipe and gaskets for $145. Check out cngco.com for particulars. You could also order them from this site for around $160. HTH. Larry

Daniel, I am not questioning your ability to do this but you realize that the intake is part of the system. It would be a trick to fabricate a custom exhaust that also allows a flow of fuel through an integrated intake with your header. It would have to be very accurate to get even distribution of fuel to each cylinder. I bought an new manifold for my H for $190 Canadian, changed it in about 10 minutes and it was done. You could spend a lot of hours trying to perfect what you have in mind..but good luck if you go for it....Mike in Exeter Ontario
