I have recently come across an old TD-9 dozer that is missing some parts. The water seperator assembly is missing from underneath the gasoline tank, and several of the king pins are missing from the blade linkage. The batteries are missing, as are the headlights. I have not seen reference to any of these parts in the parts pages of this site or any other, except for the lights. Any idea where I might find any of them? Is this a 6 volt or 12 volt system?

Do you mean a TD-9 or a T-9? Is it the gas or the diesel? It would be a 12 volt if diesel. Also if a diesel them water separator is down by the injection pump. Get a little more information and try again. All parts are available somewhere. Good luck!!

Geoff, it is possible he DOES have his information correct, since, as I'm sure you are aware, the Diesel versions did indeed have a small gasoline tank that had a water separator/sediment bowl underneath it that they used for starting.

I think that in a pinch a standard sediment bowl off of any gas tractor could be used, although the stock one had a shorter glass bowl under it.

It does start on Gas, then runs on Deisel. I figured the water seperator from something else would work in a pinch, any suggestions?

Thanks, Mark
