You have or have not started the engine? Flushed what with diesel? My personal opinion is to "flush" only with the same lubricant you are going to use, as you will just loosen crud that will remain in the engine, transmission, etc, possibly messing things up. The crankcase pan holds 5 quarts. Dunno how much the filter retains. Run it a few minutes, let it drain down, then add to the level of the upper petcock. I get my filters from Case-IH, they aren't that expensive-360430R91-whatever crosses to that number. 30W is ok, some people use 10W-30, I use 15W-40. I also do not believe in oil supplements, to each his own -- whatever you want to do -- My opinion. Squirt a lot of oil in the cylinders, it will smoke like crazy for a while, better that than lack of lubrication. See if you can get a reading on the oil pressure gage before you start it. If it is still 6 volt, you might have to use a 12 volt battery to get it to spin fast enough. Before you do that, take the other wiring loose and connect only to the battery, to avoid possible damage to the other 6 volt components, such as the regulator. You can hook directly to the starter, a lot of sparks, I only do that when nothing else works. You won't hurt the starter, unless you spin it for more than several seconds at a time.
