I have three grills each partly damaged and partly good. What is the best way to separate the three parts and reattach the best parts?

I just finished my grill, it didn't take much to get the bottom section off the center section. Just gring out the spot welds with a carbide on a die grinder and respot the welds with a mig on reassembly, use lots of vise grips etc beside the spot welds to keep everything in line as you are welding. Good Luck !!

I forgot. I sandblasted the grill while it was apart (to get rid of rust} and sprayed the seams with 3M weld-through-primer before rewelding, don't want bare metal in the seams where moisture can create rust.

New grilles are hugely expensive. I would pick the best three sections from the grilles you have and separate them by carefully drilling out the spot welds on the inside lip. Use the body hammer and little heat to to straighten any damage while the grille is in pieces. Then take the parts to a good welding shop with a spot welder and have it re-assembled. Body putty, sand, primer and paint and you should have a great looking grille for your tractor.

By the way, I would be interested if you had a decent bottom section left over.

Thanks for the input. I will see if I can salvage a good bottom for you.

Sell all three on eBay and buy a brand new one. Then, take the leftover cash and take the wife out for a fine dinner and a movie.
