What year was the last "International" loader (large wheeled "payloader" style) made? There is one owned by the town highway department, and I'm thinking that has to be a mid 80s models.IH heavy was sold off to Komatsu who labeled some of Komatsu's loaders"Payloaders" at the end. This one is a true "International"...yellow and white.

The International 'Pay Line' was sold to Dresser Industries about the same time the IH ag line was sold to Case/Tenneco (1985?). Kumatsu later purchased Dresser or at least that part of it. I believe Dresser used the International name.

Yes,I made a boo boo....it was Dresser that labeled their Dressers as "Payloader"....I saw one a couple weeks back (it said Dresser, and then in the rear area it stated "Payloader").

Frank G Hough would be surprised to see that his "brainchild" changed hands (again)after so many years...

Speaking of Payloaders....ever see one of those small models they used to make?(they look like those things that tug jumbo jets to the tarmac, only with a bucket on the front).Pretty unique machinery!

About the smallest I ever saw used an H or M motor. Didn't "pay" it much attention, though.

This one was pretty much like a tub where the operator sat,had a counterweight on the rear and the bucket on the front. The tires in front were larger than the rear (the rears looked like narrow car tires).I have seen one on EBAY and one not far from here.I dont know if any other company ever made any like it,but it was a great concept...a Payloader for every family big or small(Lol),dont know if they worked very well or not...the bucket arms werent very long, and my 300U with U34 loader could probably double its reach.
